Government…will Atalji be remembered like this:Former PM’s ancestral house was ruined, bushes grew in the courtyard, CM Yogi also forgot the promise of grooming it
CM Yogi had come on 8 September 2018 to immerse the ashes of the former Prime Minister in Yamuna. At that time he had made many promises.
Bharat Ratna is the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji today, i.e. on 25th December. BJP is remembering him. Wreath is being offered from Delhi to Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, his ancestral home in Bateshwar, Agra has been forgotten. In its courtyard, 5-5 feet high bushes have grown. One part of the roof is covered with dry grass, while the buffalo is being tied in front.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had promised to beautify this house when he came here on September 8, 2018, three years ago to flow Atalji’s ashes into the Yamuna. Then there was cleanliness here, then no one took care. Even today Yogi came to Bateshwar, but did not go to see this house located only half a kilometer away from here. It is also sad for Ashwini Vajpayee, who seems to be a nephew in Vajpayee’s relationship. They say Bateshwar is shining for the Chief Minister. But, no one came to Atalji’s ancestral residence.
Shrubs have grown in the courtyard of the ancestral residence of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The promises made by Yogi three years ago-
- Ashwani Vajpayee told that when CM Yogi came in 2018, he had announced to make Atal ji’s ancestral house a grand memorial, but this announcement has not been completed yet.
- Apart from this, there was also talk of converting Jangalat Kothi into a museum. But still nothing has changed here. Junglet Kothi is the same place where Atal Bihari Vajpayee, influenced by Mahatma Gandhi’s Quit India Movement in 1942, hoisted the national flag along with more than 300 patriots.
- In the memory of Atalji, an announcement was made to open a girls school in his name in Bateshwar, but this school also could not be opened in his village. Due to politics, this school has gone 25 km away from his village. Apart from this, the demand for opening a degree college has also not been fulfilled.
The announcement to make Jangalat Kothi a memorial has also not been completed.
The halt could not be built. Atalji had laid the foundation stone of Agra-Etawa Via Bateshwar rail line on 6 April 1999 while being the Prime Minister. This railway line was inaugurated on 24 December 2015 by Manoj Sinha, who was the Railway Minister in the BJP government. After this there was hope that Bateshwar would be known as Atal station, but after six years this halt is in darkness. There is no facility for the passengers here. There is a demand of people that maximum number of trains should stop here and it should be known as Atal station.
There is still a demand to make Bateshwar Halt an Atal station.
Laying the foundation stone of Rs 14 crore scheme
CM Yogi laid the foundation stone of three schemes at Bateshwar today at a cost of Rs 14 crore. It has construction of Atal Sanskriti Sankul Bhawan, park and library. The CM also offered prayers at the Brahmlalji temple in Bateshwar.

Bhaskar Interview:Neena Gupta said- 95 percent of the people in our country are still not modern
From Neena Gupta’s upcoming film ’83’, ‘Gwalior’ to Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Uchhai’ and the series has Panchayat-2, Masaba Masaba-2 etc. But these days Neena Gupta is promoting the old show. About his specialty, he has told a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar:
Why did you agree to promote the old show itself? Tell me the special things of that era?
Because I have done the maximum number of serials in the era the show is showing on Tata Sky Classic TV. In such a situation, I would not promote, then who could have done it! The biggest thing of that era was that the shows were not daily, but weekly. Four-five shows had to be made in a month, then it could have been written and made very easily.
I used to shoot from 9 o’clock to 6 o’clock or there used to be night shift. He used to make shows very calmly and work with pleasure, so the writing was also very good. The subject was also well chosen. That was a great thing. It was not like today that one has to shoot for 14-15 hours a day. Now a lot of running has to be done.
What was your favorite show at that time? What was special about him?
My favorite show was Saanjh, which happened in the 80s. I myself produced, directed and acted. I used to do costumes too. He was so realistic that people liked him a lot. The men and women who saw it felt as if they were themselves. Maybe that’s why he became so famous. This was my favourite.
Today, the same old shows and stories are being repeated on television. Why do old stories prevail?
I feel like why make such shows? Because it works, so make it. Why go? Because even now 95% of the people in our country have not become so modern. They still harass mother-in-law, daughter-in-law and sister-in-law, sister-in-law. You and I have changed, but India has not changed. Those things are identified to them, so make them for them.
Well, India has not changed, then why are grandparents missing from entertainment? Are there fewer programs made on children?
I had made a sonpari show on children. But it is surprising itself to think that why shows are not being made on children. Maybe kids entertain on phones and laptops. But not everyone has that facility. Grandparents come on TV. Just now my picture Sardar Ka Grandson had come, in which I played the role of grandmother.
She is still playing the role of Kapil’s mother in the film 83!
He is a very guest appearance. It’s a small part. It is so small that it cannot tell how many scenes will be there. Yes, whatever the experience has been, it has been great. It was a very small part. I have done four-five small sequences, but whatever I have done, the director has done it very well. Meaning, despite being small, it was set.
Well, doing goodbye with Amitabh Bachchan. What is his status?
I have got a lot of work done in Good Boy, only one schedule is left. The shooting date has not come yet, but will come soon. I have shot for 12 days with Amitabh Bachchan in Mumbai. Now I have only four days of work left. Maybe this shooting will happen in Chandigarh. I am playing the role of Bachchan sahab’s wife in the film.
What are the upcoming projects?
Right now the shooting of Panchayat-2, Masaba Masaba-2 has been finished. The shooting of the film ‘Shiv Shastri Balboa’ with Anupam has been completed in America. Told in ‘Good Boy’ that there are four days of shoot left. There is ‘Gwalior’ with Sanjay Mishra, which will probably come on OTT. These days I am shooting a film of Jio Films, but cannot name it. Next, I will start shooting for Sooraj Barjatya’s film ‘Uchhai’. These are all things that will come next year.
How do you see the new year?
The year 2022 will be good for me in terms of work. Many films and series will be released. See you in future too, hope so. Shameless Kovid should be removed from the head, then the attack averted. Because of this I am not able to enjoy. There is always fear while shooting.
